My Approach

I use an eclectic approach that is evidence-informed. I strive for a warm and welcoming space framed within a non-judgemental and intersectional lens that honours each person’s unique circumstances, strengths and resources.

My psychotherapy approach uses traditional verbal methods and creative arts therapies as a means to empower individuals to live a life aligned with personal values and meaning, while working toward a holistic sense of well-being.

Verbal psychotherapy techniques may draw from CBT and DBT-informed skills, and incorporate narrative therapy, parts work, and strength-based approaches to support identify and meaning-making.

Creative arts experiences might include therapeutic music listening, lyric analysis, playing instruments, singing, songwriting, drawing to music, collaging, journaling, poetry creation, sculpting, moving to music, or free association writing.

All abilities and levels of experience in music and the arts are welcome. Creative arts therapies do not emphasize skill, but instead emphasize sensitivity. Attention is given to what is happening for you in response to music & art experiences.
